Meet the Hosts

We're Judy Daghestani and Tamara Khoury; mothers, entrepreneurs, friends, and two women who found our way into the wellness world not through perfection, but through personal experience.

Our journeys into health and wellness began long before Balanced Not Boring. Judy co-founded Laurus Organics after becoming increasingly aware of how the products we use every day impact our health, our hormones, and our families. Her philosophy became simple: what goes on, goes in.

At the same time, Tamara's own struggles with food intolerances and gut health led her to create Teal Bakehouse — a space born from the belief that eating well shouldn't mean sacrificing joy, culture, or connection.

Like so many women, we've both experienced our own seasons of imbalance: navigating gut issues, burnout, motherhood, anxiety, perfectionism, identity shifts, and the endless search for answers in a wellness world that often feels overwhelming and contradictory.

What we discovered along the way was that wellness isn't about achieving perfection. It's about becoming more curious, more informed, more self-aware, and more compassionate with ourselves.

Balanced Not Boring grew naturally from the conversations we were already having as friends, founders, and women trying to make sense of modern wellness. Each episode, we sit down with doctors, psychologists, therapists, researchers, educators, founders, and thought leaders to explore the topics that shape our minds, bodies, relationships, and sense of self.

Our goal isn't to tell you how to live. It's to ask better questions, challenge wellness extremes, and create the kind of honest, evidence-based, emotionally real conversations we wish we'd had years ago.

Because wellness doesn't have to be perfect to be meaningful. And life is always better when it's balanced, not boring.
